My favourites books/films

My favourite Book :

I have always read a lot of books and manga since I was a child. Recently, I started reading Kingdom. The story takes place in ancient China during a violent period of war. The main character is Shin, a young orphan. He trains every day with his best friend Hyou. They dream of becoming "Great Generals" to escape their difficult life. However, a sad event changes Shin's destiny. He meets Ei Sei, the King of Qin, who wants to unify all the kingdoms of China. Shin decides to join the army to help him. The story follows his long journey as a soldier. He has to fight in terrible battles and build alliances with other soldiers. He faces enemies who are much stronger than him. I really like this manga because it is a perfect mix of strategy and action. It is the most interesting story wich I have read this year.

My favourite Film:

Regarding cinema, my absolute favorite movie is The Truman Show. It is a famous film starring Jim Carrey. The story is about a man named Truman Burbank. He lives a simple and happy life in a beautiful town called Seahaven. However, Truman does not know a huge secret: his entire life is actually a reality TV show. Since his birth, hidden cameras have filmed him 24 hours a day. His town is just a giant studio, and all the people around him, including his wife and his best friend, are professional actors. The rest of the world watches his daily life on television. The story becomes interesting when Truman starts to notice strange things. For example, a spotlight falls from the sky. He realizes that his world is fake. He decides to fight against the creator of the show to find the exit. I love this movie because it is funny but also very touching. It makes us think about the definition of freedom.
